Adding to your synopsis, IF there's a huge number of unaccounted for (Short) shares that were traded on the "Dark Market" prior to the steep RS, these would now be locked in and be a ticking Time Bomb for the perpetrators.
Again IF that's the case it would literally be akin to dousing a raging fire with Petrol.
It's an unlikely (dream) scenario but one that cant be fully discounted all the same.
