There's a certain homophobic poster who spams me daily with his incoherent, fact challenged crap.
Here's my response to his dumb-ass PM to me.
YOU’RE the one who should be embarrassed. Some people are educated out of their bigotries. I'm old enough to remember 'fag jokes' that I laughed at.
But I concluded that since neither I, nor anyone I know, can remember making a choice to go hetero or homo, that it WASN'T a matter of choice any more than skin color is.
So, what then? Continue to mock them, oppose legislation to protect them, beat 'em up, round 'em up.....and then?
Marginalizing people different from me and making their lives more difficult is a choice I decided not to make.
The choice is between being a decent person or being a homophobic asshole who makes adolescent jokes about them on an Internet public board.
