First the reproduction may not be correct but let us say it is. When an M16 5.56 is fired and lets say it hits you in the forearm are you aware where that bullet may exit? I was drinking coffee at Mister Donut in 1964-66 and a guy I knew but wasn't close to sat down next to me and he started talking about the V days. He was hit in the forearm and made its way into his upper arm .I don't remember if it exited is neck or back it was one or the other.
When a bullet hit something the slightest twig can send it in a different direction. I'm not going to say there wasn't a second shooter but know I'm damn sure this wasn't Oswald kind of thingy. (huge difference)
The bullet or fragments easily found a rubber hydraulic hose.
So my other thoughts go to the kid was getting ready to fire again and the timing of the shot from out sharp cutters hit him and the kids hand weight falling or a possible flinch of death was the piercing of the hydraulic hose.
