First off, I have no idea how much this 12 week murine study will cost, but I'd venture to guess about $300,000.00
If it was lengthened to 20 weeks, how much more? Most everything is already in place, I'd say only another $100,000.00.
Remember 1 mouse week = 1 human year, so if a mouse lives to the 22nd week and then dies, that means leronlimab adds 2 years of Overall Survivability.
I remember reading a post from plotinus where he didn't feel it was worth pursuing or felt that dr. j would just stick to the task at hand and not get side tracked. personally, i feel like if things are going well and the majority of the mice remain alive at around 10 weeks, dr. j should pick up the phone and tell the CRO to extend it to 20 weeks and see when these mice die.
