It was in context of the heart attack. Mr. Barnhizer had a rupture between two chambers, known as a VSR. That type of event frequently results in what is known as instant cardiac death. If an individual survives the attack to make it to surgery the prognosis is poor, with 40+% not surviving surgery. I’ve known of three survivors in twenty five years. He makes four.
