Another thing that may not be obvious is one doesn't need to buy some required minimum amount, such as 10,000 units if they only wanted a small amount of a customized product. This eliminates having to store the remainder until they get sold off, or being charged extra for not taking the whole required minimum order amount. Imagine having to store thousands of breakable customized mugs. A lot of companies have to deal with this type of issue which costs them space, time, and money. The company I work for has been storing thousands of customized T-shirts due to having to buy the required minimum, which was way higher than what was actually sold over the past 5 years.
