That said, I've been around people suffering from this disease and I want to state my opinion. There are times when people who haven't seen it up close don't seem to reflect also on the cost of care and the emotional toll it takes on family members that witness the slow mental decline towards nothingness and then after that, watch the shell of whom they once knew, decline physically at slow pace as well.
I would imagine that some are excited by slowing the disease progression down and I certainly can understand that emotion of course, because it's a big deal when nothing has really helped much in the past, but IMO it isn't as much to cheer about as some might think.
Delaying onset or reversing the course of the disease are much better outcomes to root for and I truly hope that Leronlimab gets started on that in early 2025 as has been indicated.
