I am NOT saying anything about LL being shelved, HOWEVER I will tell you that years ago at Miramax Films, Bob and Harvey Weinstein used to spend MILLIONS on purchasing films at Sundance and other festivals. The producers of those films were THRILLED that Miramax bought their films because they thought they bought them to release them into theaters and they'd have a huge payday.

Miramax bought the films SOLELY to shelve them because they already had similar films and didn't want them competing. When you have "FU" money, you can do whatever you want.
