Chris Boerner,...five long months into his tenure as CEO of BMS unveiled plans to slash and burn (cost-cutting) measures of $1.5 Billion...including the reduction of twelve pipeline programs...(didn't make the cut)...and a six and half percent reduction in employees (2200) before yearend...
While here in my state of California... the closure of a cell therapy manufacturing site. Even the big guys have to tighten the belt...sometimes.
On another front...speaking of reinventing the Pharmaceutical wheel... is the Billion dollar launch of Xaira Therapeutics in an effort use AI in their R&D arm.
In the much larger picture...Pharmaceutical companies reacting to The CHINA Bill are planning to change CRO's over time in order to localize their supply chains...in view of the overreactive super-charged mandates coming from Washington.
