Which is why I would question a distribution deal with an unknown company, when there are huge established medical device distributors who already have supply contracts with the largest healthcare groups - HealthOne / HCA / Universal Health / Ascension etc etc
Regardless, the devices are in the region of $4-5k, hospitals would only keep a limited number on hand and the typical distributor would make only 4-7% of the top line. We are not talking huge amounts of income, and that's if they can succeed in getting a new device into the system, which can be notoriously difficult.
