recently watched the purdue pharma story "painkillers" and i knew that there was some level of this BS there , but shocked at how blatant it really was . dr curtis wright was the sole regulator in charge of approval, and repeatedly denied for years of applications - oxy - because he saw how it was obviously heroin in pill form, way too dangerous. purdue openly harassed him to the point of hookers and blow in a private hotel somewhere, he caved, and after his stint at the FDA, worked for them for years, with fat salary etc etc etc. no laws broken, nothing to see here.
and still not a single thing has changed.
