Aegis Capital Corp. allegedly profited from helping risky stocks debut on the stock exchange.
Quote:
In February 2024 alone, investors allegedly lost $1.4 billion of the $1.8 billion they invested in thinly traded stocks that Aegis Capital Corp. backed.
WTF! I thought some thought it was just VERB and all Rory's fault?
This is damning...
Quote:
SLGC found that of the 186 stocks for which Aegis Capital Corp. served as an underwriter, 93.5% had negative returns. SLGC alleges that losses cannot solely be attributed to the fact that they were issued by small companies, also known as micro-cap issuers. The returns on Aegis Capital Corp.’s underwritings were allegedly 80% worse than the Dow Jones U.S. Micro-Cap Total Stock Market Index.
Read the whole article to see the corruption and fraud using every trick in the book.
The you have the pile on.
Those that figure out the fantastic return one can have by shorting any stock they and other companies like them touch.
Look at the Post Offering Return %. What's the average? -97% more or less?
The whole playing field is gamed. None of these companies had a fair shot. They all would have been better to stay private and raise capital through VCs.
You already know Aegis isn't the only one.
They all use the excuse...
Well everyone is doing it, so, so what?. That's how we've been doing business for years.
While the government agencies that are supposed to protect investors, turn a blind eye. Are they on the dole too?
Feel sorry for these comps
Is their stock going to tank even more? Hmmm
Now you know my idea on how to make $$$$.

TikTok, as noted, has over 150 million U.S. users, and has become an extremely important and influential platform among younger cohorts in particular.Feb 22, 2024
What happens if you 'try' to take away a favorite 'toy' from 150 million U.S. users?
red, it's not going to end well?
Correct, but for whom?
The US Government, China, the TikTok users, VERB?
My bet is the former. Not good to take away a favorite 'toy'.
My 'guess' is Tok will do something like they did in Indonesia

What is really the root of Indonesia's concern Minister Teten?
To protect small-medium enterprises (SMEs)?
I know a company that has 500 of them there things and just getting warmed up despite the Aegis's of the world
Ain't this a hoot...
