You got that right. Gilead made $8.4 billion dollars on remdesivir just from 2020-2021. Jeff Murray was involved in Gilead’s Descovy approval. The BP relationships were forged. I doubt he uttered “I hate them” behind the scenes with the Gilead deliberations.
As entertaining and enraging as this all is I think Jay is not distracted and working through options. Partnership is the power play that would be non-dilutive and obtains the imprimatur of the big boys club that results in a true price inflection. We haven’t heard much likely because this is all ongoing behind closed doors. The one two punch would be a dual announcement of funding from partnership for one of the indications and a redirection of a mere 2-3 million to activate the HIV inflammation study. Price pop, melt up from there and we reach escape velocity to the NASDAQ or another exchange. The memory of this will be like a bad dream, except it was real. Anyone holding fast through all this will likely be well rewarded. I can see the probabilities over the horizon and am not budging. True value always wins out in the end.
