I think that clearly the FDA and CDC need more fun

I think that clearly the FDA and CDC need more funding. Also more regulations to regulate the current regulators implementing regulations that would keep people from acting this way will also go a long way toward fixing the situation. We should also have a large congressional commission to investigate and report findings so that some real change can happen. Then this commission can recommend some new rules to follow to better comply with the current rules.

or we could start cutting some heads and holding people to account. If an investigation was started today on Murray (assuming he was still at FDA) it would take years and years with him ultimately just being allowed to retire after being on paid administrative leave for 3 years. Some thing has to drastically change in federal employment practices or we will continue down this road of incompetents ruling our country. There is zero fear of accountability in 98% of govt.

You get more accountability out of the kid at the counter of burger king than any of the holier than thou FDA staff.
