It shows high binding affinity at KD 4.2 nM to immobilized hCCR5. How effective their assay is compared to the newer assay developed for leronlimab is unknown. The older assay when used with maraviroc could show large overestimations. I could not find how the binding affinity directly compares to leronlimab even in the older Pro140 studies percentages were used rather than KD/nm.
My guess as to the design of the CCR5 binding end of the drug conjugate is a modification of an existing CCR5 binding ligand.
