Leronlimab was found to RAISE CCR5 expression on patients who at the core had some immune suppression.
The increase in CCR5 expression would be natural. Occupied by leronlimab CCR5 would not retreat into the cell and further CCR5 would express itself (and be bonded by leronlimab) and also not retreat.
Of greater interest is the increase in CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells. An increase in immune fighting cells is very good. This would also increase the amount of cells that could express other immune related receptors bringing the system in balance. The expression and activation by ligands of CCR5 the most powerful immune receptor is what can cause an overreaction and disease states.
