Per CGC’s recent post the Long Covid activist group’s March on Washington (aka “show us the money” event) is tomorrow. I was glad to hear Dr. J mention on the last investors call that due to the “continuing and even growing interest in Long Covid” that they are specifically looking at that indication under the category of partnership.
We are in a phase as investors where I don’t expect imminent news. I have published in a medical journal and can say the whole process is not quick…getting the study written up and submitted is a major step but then comes peer review, any adjustments and resubmission from that feedback, and getting queued for the journal publishing. Props to Dr Jay for getting several submissions out from the Cytodyn presses with more to follow. These are super important to elicit validation and interest but don’t expect an imminent catalyst from this category of priorities.
Three indications were mentioned in the category of partnerships: oncology, MASH, and Long Covid. Not sure if it was top of mind or random order but Oncology was mentioned first…perhaps that is coming out of the oven to be served first, we will see. Regardless, this category of partnership can come out of the blue with no warning.
We’re all a little famished and hungry from the protracted journey but take heart. Dr. Jay’s commercial oven has several things cooking and I am sure we’ll enjoy whatever comes out first.
