The whole point of EUA though is that it shows potential, not proven, efficacy and has a good safety profile. I understand that they data-mined to find out that the critical patients had an 82% higher survival rate at day 14 but so what? We were literally in a pandemic that was killing millions. That should have been enough to show potential efficacy and there were no SAEs attributed to LL in the Covid trials so the safety profile should have met the criteria also. Heck, they approved the J&J vaccine and then had to come back and pause it because it was causing blood clots. Why weren't they being so cautious with that drug?
I very much understand if the FDA was skeptical of NP but when a guy like Dr. JL is going out of his way to say "hey, these results are something I've never seen before", and Bruce, and Otto, and so on, you'd think they would listen instead of saying "well, run another trial and we'll see."
But like I said, after seeing Painkiller, they're either corrupt or inept. It's just sad.
