Great post, thank you. This is exactly how the MMs cause a panic sell off in order to get more shares, create volume or cover any of their open short positions. The amount of time it takes to bring the stock down speaks volumes. IMO that is all the MM's doing, it has ZERO to do with any bashers dumping their few shares. Its all in the MM's hands. It moves down way too fast.
Conversely, you can clearly see when the MMs prop the stock up or support it. They got the shares they needed the last 2 days and are back to supporting the price. You can tell because when you enter a large bid, they immediately put a 10k share bid above yours and raise the bogus 10k share ask up a few ticks. This causes buyers to chase.
When the ceiling at 016 didnt break and the buying volume dried up, the MMs waited a day or two and chose to crash the stock in order to generate volume again and to get more shares. This ignites the traders' fears and causes a sell off. The quicker the price goes up, esp on no news, the further down the stock falls. Insanant called it, I was worried to sht about it and Im sure many people here were too. The smart thing for longs is to take some profits when it runs too hot and then buy back as many, or more shares than they sold when the stock retraces and bounces back up. That tightens the float even more and the next leg can continue easier than before the crash.
