Nice fluff PR.
The reason I call it fluff is due to the very last couple of talks I had with Jim. Towards the end of last year Jim stated that IDS platforms were nowhere near reality. He stated platforms and their respective functions at the time, were still boardroom ideas. Furthermore, in 2010, we talked about detachment budgets and their willingness to use any future IDS platforms and or valuations as mentioned in the pr. IDS as of last year was still struggling with how to sell the preverbal platforms to lower end budgets as well as too the upper end of larger detachment budgets. Jim also stated that they had no money to develop these platforms. At the time the budgets he said were 300,000 – 3mil but 300,000-600,000 would be their range. The other issue was while making IDS platforms so much more affordable, meant that the following year police agencies would have their budgets slashed, so this would be an issue as well to overcome. That’s when the idea of a yearly maintenance charge by FTCH could be implemented.
So the $64 question is: Why all the recent dilution? I mean hell, if this RMS/IDS platform has mystically been created and will be ready for launch in the second quarter, and is so good, financiers should be lining up at the doors. Just one $4mil budget or a half dozen $600,000 contracts from any large detachments, to accept/use any platform, is enough to launch FTCH/IDS into the stratosphere.
I personal don’t buy it, 1- it’s very old news/ideas. 2- I believe it’s a strategy too max out the current A/S. limit. 3- no talk of new financing has even surfaced 4- The pr talked of no contracts or even potential of contracts, no mention of a detachment that would use a trial run of said platform.5- If agencies were using IDS or even any functions of the program, where is the report on money generated by these so called agencies? The last set of financials certainly did not report any revenue generated red or black.
Most of all; the PR is worded like all of the past PRs, Vaguely! Containing no real committed statements, other than a RMS platform will be launched in the second quarter. What part? Start, middle, end or just like every other statement, not until their hidden agenda has been achieved, Maxed out a/s No this is nothing more than a new handle for an old idea. Frank IMO, is just milking old ideas with a new fabricated twist.
