The “multibillion dollar deal with Saudi Government” Swalwell references is almost certainly an allusion to the $2 billion investment received by the firm of Jared Kushner from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. Kushner served as a White House adviser to his father-in-law.
That money was invested a few months after Trump and Kushner exited the White House. The investment was made over the objections of the fund’s managers, who were overridden by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a Kushner ally.
