MANUFACTURING
"The Company, working with its Chinese manufacturer, recently redesigned the manufacturing process to increase the reliability and shelf life of its current OTC product. The Company also did a proof-of-concept production run of its newly designed RecoveryRx product that is 50% more powerful and has a larger antenna thereby increasing the size of the surgical incision that can be treated. The plan is to test market these devices in the near future."
Reliability - is essential to any product being widely adopted. No Distributors, OEM Partners, or Retailers want the hassle of defective product returns. IMO, the weakest spot on ActiPatch is the On/Off Button. The ActiPatch is water resistant but not waterproof. I have seen corrosion build up inside this button and cause it to fail. Hopefully the new "manufacturing process" improves the On/Off Button. As conservative as BIEL has been with spending for the last year the fact that they implemented this manufacturing redesign now speaks well for the prospect of new partnerships.
Shelf Life - is an important consideration for Distributors, OEM Partners and Retailers as well. A longer shelf life encourages BIEL's partners to place larger orders, savings money on shipping and quantity discounts.
New RecoveryRx - for surgical incisions is an exciting advancement for BIEL. The 50% increase in power will provide greater pain relief and faster healing for surgical patients. The fact that they are already planning to Test Market this new product is very positive.
