One of my friends who had debilitating muscle pain to the point that he couldn't work, was told by his idiot doctor that it was completely coincidental that this started with his statin use. I convinced him to stop the statins, and fortunately for him he was okay after about 6 weeks.
His doctor genuinely told him to see a psychiatrist.
He has a new doctor now.
Just as a PSA: some studies have shown that eating half an avocado a day reduces the bad cholesterol as much as statins do. Avocado oil seems to rip the bad stuff out of your arteries.
