Spent a little more time looking at institutions. Factors in the RS I think.
You can see between Q1 & Q2 the number of shares held was cut by more than 75%. That hurt!
The way it's trending, maybe VERB is back up to the same number of shares this quarter as it was last year same time?
End of Q4 '22 = 41 Institutions with 7,534,006 shares total (188,350)
End of Q4 '22 = 41 Institutions with 8,224,971 shares total (205,624)
End of Q1 '23 = 41 Institutions with 18,224,133 shares total (455,603)
End of Q2 '23 = 20 Institutions with 110,958 shares total
End of Q3 '23 = 24 Institutions with 204,908 shares total
End of Q4 '23 = 26 Institutions with 353,519 shares total
Investors may want to consider a few things...
1.) fintel.io may or may not be accurate. When it doubt, go to the company that is holding the shares and read their filing.
2.) This represents only the institutions large enough that have to file. Plenty don't including family offices, but could be a good overall representation of the landscape.
3.) Much to my surprise, it wasn't just one thing that increased institutions and the number of shares they own. It sure seems like steady progress is making a difference.
4.) Goes without saying. Do your own DD vs following what intuitions are doing. I assume institutions do the same vs buying because other institutions are buying
