Regardless as to what kind of vote it was, partisan or otherwise, your dimmys busted their butts and ended up showing us nothing more than what a tempest in a turd pot signifying nothing looks like. I think most anyone with an IQ that would match their shoe size should have been able to figure out what was going to happen once those votes got to the Senate but, alas, all dimmys with double digit IQ's appear to have gone the way of the passenger pigeon.
