The First Reality Comic Book Series Ever Features Stan Lee Himself and an All-Star Cast
PARIS -- 26 March, 2013. (Virtual Press Office) -- STAN LEE'S MIGHTY 7, the latest offering from Stan Lee Comics - a joint venture between Stan Lee's POW Entertainment, A Squared Entertainment and Archie Comics - is being offered as a movie trilogy (3 x 75') to international broadcasters at Mip TV this April by leading kids programming distributor and brand manager PGS Entertainment.
"Absolutely no one does the superhero genre better than the great Stan Lee," said Andy Heyward, co-President, A Squared Entertainment, "and in this exciting trilogy, there's a whole new twist. Fantasy meets reality, and comedy meets adventure, when a crew of aliens crash on earth and become Stan's latest superheroes. We're so pleased to have our partners at PGS representing this project worldwide and think broadcasters everywhere are going to love it as much as we do. It's action. It's comedy. It's a lot of fun!"
Stan Lee is the co-creator of some of the biggest and best superheroes, including Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and X-Men, among others. In Mighty 7 Stan inserts himself into the story as a writer hired by Archie Comics to create a new group of superheroes. But when seven aliens crash land near his trailer in the desert night, Stan realizes that they are being chased by the military and has to act fast. He decides to help them on earth by teaching them how to behave as superheroes, which isn't easy. Stan quickly finds he has his hands full when he has to keep them from going to clubs, discos, the mall and all the places any green-blooded alien would want to discover! But through it all, Stan not only saves them from the military and the "men in the white coats," he also solves his writer's block and chronicles the newest superhero force.
"At PGS, we have had the pleasure of representing some amazing animated series from A Squared Entertainment," said Philippe Soutter, president of PGS Entertainment. "At Mip TV, we are excited to offer broadcasters the first-ever reality, superhero show, featuring an incredible cast, lead by Stan Lee himself! In addition, we think the trilogy format will be something new and intriguing broadcasters and video platforms can offer their viewers."
The all-star cast will be announced later this year. The first of the three movies will be delivered in Q4 2013.
