OK... if it is orchestrated as several have said... what worries me is... suppose they like the tune so much they just keep playing it over and over? Are any of our investments safe if a few investors can bring this PPS to its knees any time they wish? If this is true, this thing could yo-yo back and forth for ever.
I have never been one to subscribe to the theory that a few people acting in collusion could manipulate a stock to their benefit at will. Could it be possible... I guess, maybe... but why PNCH? Why PNCH over the thousands of other stocks. Why PNCH at a penny and a half? I could be convinced, but haven't seen any hard data to change my thinking yet. If you have anything, please, convince me.
I think... this is profit taking pure and simple. Then the profit taking spooked some who recently bought in (and caused the recent spike up) that would have otherwise stayed in through the earnings report , and they sold also. What we have witnessed, (my opinion again of course) is classic panic selling by weak share holders who had little confidence in continued growth after the earnings report and shareholders meeting. Some held in there through yesterdays dip, but when it started down again today, they bailed.
Adding to some people's worries... I suspect some saw Steve's post about the CV revenue picture. The CV deal has been pointed to quite a lot as an important piece of the overall profit picture. Some, as I understand it, interpreted his statement to mean "profits", while others saw the term Steve used ("revenue") as simply that, revenue. (i.e. PNCH as a company has revenue... but is not profitable yet given expenses.) Be they right or wrong in their interpretations of such, they likely error-ed on the safe side and sold. You can always buy back later, right? To me, the statement simply could use clarification, but given that the plan is to have 12 on-line by the end of the year, I don't consider it to be a problem even if the term was used correctly as "revenue" only.
I didn't sell... I will not be selling in the near future... and I'm not worried... but I'm not a flipper, nor am I new to the party. I am in it for the longer term, and given that the company is going in the right direction, and quickly... as Steve says... the PPS value will catch up with the value of the company in due time.
