I think it would really help investors, the stock price and draw institutions back if they understood what is the difference between TikTok and Market.Live
I get the Verb team is working their asses off growing the company, but probably inside the forest not realizing...Everyone doesn't get it or understand it the way they do.
I did buy something from Market.Live through TikTok to see how it worked. Worked very well.
My understanding (and I could be wrong) is TikTok forces ALL sellers to go through TikTok Shop. Facebook tried something similar if I remember right and couldn't pull it off. People would just do their post it notes on stuff and people would throw in the chat... I want #22 and the seller would yell...SOLD to what'sherface. This is where the other Live Selling company got their name...CommentSold. People would buy, by putting a comment in the chat. It's really a stupid name for a company. Would be like a car company naming themselves...Horse'nBuggy.
So your question is (or could be)...What differentiates Market.Live from TikTok Shop.
I'll give you a few
TikTok Shop: Only can live stream on TikTok
Market.Live: Can live stream on Market.Live, Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin, etc. Not tied to one platform
TikTok Shop: Known for selling junk, knockoffs, etc
Market.Live: Known for selling quality products
TikTok Shop: Heavy Ads
Market.Live: No Ads
TikTok Shop: Not sure what their story on live shopping replays.
Market.Live: Live session replays
I find navigation on TikTok not intuitive and confusing. Granted they didn't intend or build it to sell anything until they launched TikTok Shop last Sept.
I have zero problem finding Market.Live site, but trying to get to the shopping part leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe some young whippersnappers have no issues which is much of the target audience anyway.
Here's Market.Live's two sites. Notice the 'Shop' link on one of them in the middle 1/2 way down? Where is the shop link on the other one?
But wait, there is more...
Instead of the Shop link, they have an Instagram link. Now click the Youtube link. Takes you to a very nice Market.Live youtube site that looks great. Videos are older though so maybe they stopped uploading them or there is another site.
It's likely on the second site, Verb really wants users to click the Market.Live link above and go there. Doesn't stand out as much as the Shop on the other site, but I GET, Tok limits what one can control.
Anywho... Maybe confusing for people that aren't a TikTok pro like me. I did watch a bunch of impractical jokers videos yesterday on the TOK. Cracks me up.
Verb should really do a how to video or an overview video. I would think they have some kind of pitch or sales deck to all these Shopify customers they are bring on that explains the why and how.
