Like most, I am puzzled as to why CEO Kelly let lapse the maintenance fees on the patent. I am no closer to actually knowing but then again I don’t think anybody will ever know. That being said gathering information is always helpful. You never can tell where or when it might come in handy. To that end, and nothing else really, I searched for << How to steal a patent >>. It turns out you can! Before I had always tended to focus on the effects of not paying maintenance fees and what are the possible negative consequences. Got nowhere, fast.
So, here are the top results. You can easily do the search yourself. I used DuckDuckGo search engine.

The Forbes link is especially interesting. Worth a read. From “patentskart.com" you get answers to questions like these:
What is an Abandoned Patent and how does it work?
What are the Benefits of owning an Abandoned Patent?
How can you go about acquiring an Abandoned Patent?
What are the risks associated with owning an Abandoned Patent?
How do you know if a patent is abandoned or not?
Note to BIEL management. Please, please, in the name of all that is good and decent, get rid of that gawd-awful, crappy, jingly-jangly muzak crap on the videos. If there was anything that is a bigger turnoff than that I don’t know what it is. I guess babies screech-wailing-crying and hideously, mind-bending, mindless garbage hard rock. You do know all three are used to torture prisoners, don’t you?
I believe I have mentioned before that I thought the ‘dropped’ maintenance fee was part of some kind of strategy but don’t ask me what that might be. I’ve no idea, at all. Still, I will keep trying in the hope that I might stumble across something, somewhere, sometime that’ll fit into a broader picture. Until such time, the ball is still very much in BIEL’s court in terms of any significant information in ref: to the business.
