Preliminary signs and more drilling to go = the well kicked
Hi all,
Interesting commentary from galp. My best guess is that they punched through the cap rock with the 8.5" BHA assembley and the well kicked.
Now they are now they are using choke and kill lines to rebalance mud weights to tame the well. If this is the case then the initial mud weights are off for reservoir drilling, meaning too much pressure against what was anticipated - if my interpretation is true - this could be a monster.
This is purely speculating at this point. But Galp says positive sign of hydrocarbons AND more drilling to go - then for this to be a press release...I reckon the reservoir started talking
