It is well known that India simply did not count or even keep track of COVID deaths. There were videos of workers in the parking lots of Indian hospitals, building massive funeral pyres that they threw many bodies on — and those bodies were not called COVID deaths. There were similarly many thousands of deaths in villages which were not reported, bodies simply disposed of. You CANNOT compare their (admitted) death count to that of other countries.
