So........it has been a while since I have been here. My daily participation and thoughts on IPIX had already slowed to almost nothing by the time the Covid-19 trial came to completion in ~2021, but the resulting punishment of the company stock due to the trial results broke my spirit and I gave up hope.
As 2023 comes to an end, I decided to make the first and only sell of my CTIX/IPIX shares and take some losses to offset income. Since this the first time in a long time that I have put thought into IPIX, I had to take a minute to reminisce about what I had put so much passion and hard earned money into for over a decade. I still hold 99% of my position at this point, because why not? My investment return is now -99.45%, so there is nothing to gain by selling it now other than to start realizing my losses to offset income.
For now it looks like the shorters, bashers, manipulators, and whatever other entities that wanted IPIX to fail, have won. What a tragedy it is that they have. IPIX's drug portfolio was going to be game changing and save lots of lives, and now it is likely that they will end up as one more company squashed before they could make the world a better place. My only hope is that those who fought so hard to stop IPIX find themselves or a loved one stricken with an illness that could have been treated by an IPIX drug. Even if that happens, I am sure the irony will be lost on them.
I still have some minuscule sliver of hope that IPIX will ultimately pull through and triumph, but I am not planning on it. I sure miss the days when things were looking promising, and we were excited for the future. For those of you true/real investors that have stayed the course please keep on fighting. I wish you the best of luck in the new year. I plan to slip back into the shadows after this post and move on with life. I hope that some day there will be a reason to be excited about IPIX again.
