"my only suggestion for market would make the static site more searchable/open"
I think everyone would agree. Early on it doesn't matter as there are so few things, but they quickly got to the point where there are many sellers and products.
I was talking about this earlier today with another investor. Most don't know but companies like Amazon and Walmart put 100's of millions into search and navigation. For them, it's everything.
AND, they have to keep investing and likely have a large team that just works on Search. Doesn't mean smaller companies have to invest 100's of millions, but they do have to keep evolving it.
Just now I was looking at Talkshop. You know the company valued at $81M

Recently, TalkShopLive quietly closed a $7 million extension round at an $81 million evaluation . Investors include eBay founder Pierre Omidyar’s fund, Spero Ventures, Progress Partners, TuneIn and more.

Their navigation is non existent and search sucks. They do have the type ahead search that changes the page on the fly vs Market.Live that show suggestions in the search which I like better.
The odd thing with TSL is...Where are the stores? I want a list of stores broken down by category. Is that to much to ask? Me thinks they don't have many and certainly not the quality that Market.Live has.

When I think TSL, this is an example of what they are known for. Somebody selling a book. Big whoop!

So we know TSL is valued at $81M. Makes you wonder that Market.Live is at the moment which some including me think is much better.
The other thing to consider is where will TSL be in 3 months vs. Market.Live
I think one is on the path for exponential growth with real stores, affiliate marketing and drop shipping. The other one stuck in the mud.
As always...Links provided for people to do their own research.
