Apple will introduce a new security mode for iPhones that can protect users when thieves or other attackers learn the user’s private passcode.
The setting, called Stolen Device Protection, will use the device’s location to determine whether the user is at home or work.
If the user is in an unfamiliar location, then the mode will require FaceID in addition to a passcode to perform sensitive actions such as checking or changing passwords.
