Cytodyn can't outline safety concerns or lack thereof for any indication that is not FDA approved. They can't claim outright that it will work for any other indication. The company can say they believe the drug may work for an indication. They can point to any trial results we may have, They can point to studies that support the mechanism of action for that indication.
It is the prescribing doctor's duty to ascertain whether they think it's a viable treatment. There's a ton of literature out there showing how CCR5 works to enhance disease states. I've personally read through all too much of it.
