No that is not correct. The phrase "As of the date of this report" typically refers to the specific date mentioned in the report. So, if the report states a specific date, it does not refer to today but rather to the date on which the report was generated or the data within the report was collected.Which would not be today. Clearly the date is not today. He is wrong.
