listened to the company update on the other biotec

listened to the company update on the other biotech i am invested in (imagine that - shareholder communication), and the CFO made a comment that stuck with me. He said:

"the market is littered with companies who have great products, but ultimately failed. the key to our success is managing operational risk"

to be clear, this company already has FDA approval and sales, and is growing - he's talking about growing their manufacturing capacity, the speed with which they distribute into key channels, etc. but he clarified one thing in my mind - yes, we have a great drug, which is why we're all here. but we had better get our leadership and go-forward plan in place, and fast.

i'm perplexed and troubled as to why we have not named a new CEO yet - what on earth is taking so long? sure, the company can delay forever, but the market won't wait forever. and for those who would call this a bash, that's fine - if you don't think we'd better get our house in order (and fast), you just prove my theory that you don't have an ounce of business sense anyway.
