AI is great for generalizations, but diseases can be very specific. If you have 17,000 people with cancer, you may have 17,000 types of cancer cures. AI can help a doctor without knowledge in an area, but doctors have to know what to look for, someone has to set up the AI.
In almost all in our list of diseases, doctors don't fully understand the pathology, plus the pathology may vary from person to person. Yes, AI could be a recipe for disaster.
