Bull, I recommend installing a 1" T4 Wilden pump on the bottom of the oil tanks and recirculating the bottoms all the time. This way you will pull any water off the bottom before the truck gets there because the water weighs more than the oil so it will be on the bottom. You can hook the suction into the bottom of the tank and run the discharge back through the separator or treater, whichever is the last vessel that y'all are using. This pump cost about $1200 new but you can buy a rebuilt one. It will discharge at or above 100psi depending what pressure your supply is. Are we using a demulsifier chemical on these wells that are leaving water in the tank? If not and our oil has a tight emulsion then you will always have problems. It only takes about 2 to 4 qts per hundred bbls to treat on most oils. If so, what chemical company are we using? We use Baker Hughes and X-Chem. They are the best I have worked with. Especially on these newer wells we need to have our oil finger printed for a paraffin content, cloud point, pour point, and see if we have an emulsion problem. This will make a pumpers job much easier and will increase our run time.
