Genprex (NASDAQ: GNPX), a clinical-stage gene therapy company focused on developing life-changing therapies for patients with cancer and diabetes, recently received a patent from the China National Intellectual Property Administration. “The granted patent broadly covers the use of the company’s drug candidate REQORSA(R) immunogene therapy in combination with PD-1 antibodies, such as Keytruda(R), to treat cancers. The REQORSA gene therapy in combination with Keytruda is the subject of the company’s ongoing Acclaim-2 clinical trial for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (‘NSCLC’). In this trial, the company is enrolling and treating patients with advanced, metastatic NSCLC whose disease progressed after treatment with Keytruda.
