Finding leases that hold good potential and contracting operators that can and will get the job done is not that hard. Finding leases is a little harder, it will cost more. You have to use good geologists and reservoir engineers. Contracting operators to run our wells would be the easiest thing an oil company would ever do. This is the part that has escaped me to this point. There are 1000's of operators that will run those leases and keep them pumping. This is the part of the industry I work in. Island Operating, QPM, Grasso, C&D Operating, D&C operating, Baker Operating, Inland Services, & Shamrock just to name a few large companies. Not to mention there are self employed pumpers in every state and especially in a state like Texas. Not having a good and experienced team in the field, well, there is just no excuse for it.
