I would focus your reading on the Discussion part. You can easily see an overlap w/ treatment modalities between the military and civilian practices if for no other reason than to reduce the massive amount of paperwork. Dual purpose forms and coding. Getting us involved w/ TriCare, whether it is through Phantom Limb pain, general surgeries, etc. the military will push to get the patient out the door w/ a good outcome (i.e. - not coming back b/c of complications, pain issues, etc.).
Enter RecoveryRx. Let's say TriCare uses RRx, gets the expected results (significant reduction of opioids, faster & better pain relief, faster healing, no side effects, etc.), you can bet the military will 'encourage' the private sector to follow suit. Then ... wait for it ... insurance w/ , ... , that's right, ... , medical coding. KN, VLMS, anyone?
Full marks to to Disco Bob for pointing us in the right direction on a subject that up to this point had not been discussed much. Interesting stuff.
