A larger in-vitro animal study with tracking of biomarkers would further bolster the exact mechanism of action. Being able to elucidate to the FDA the exact mechanism of action increases the chances of getting a breakthrough, fast track or accelerated approval designation from the FDA. It would also increase the chances of a partnership deal.
