GOSY's tactile shroud technology...

...is totally cool!

the covering of the carebot is thermoformed plastic I believe.

it hangs down from the shoulders on 2 perpendicular axes. that gives it easy movement in any direction! all 360 degrees-

now comes the clever part, they use a 2 axis solid state accelerometer to "locate" a hit or brush of any place on the shroud.

this tactile shroud subsystem talks to the geckospio. the spio then uses TCP/IP to inform the geckosuper as to where and how hard the shroud was hit or touched. the super then does the appropriate forwarding to nav, and even chat!

chat can now babble:

"ah been hit on ma arse!" ha!

the carebot does have a "bustle" LOL-
