they are asking for $100 million because the work done by Amarex was insufficient to file a BLA due to incompetence by them. Cytodyn did not get what they paid for.
Salvaging the trial sounds like it would be too time consuming and expensive. that does not mean it is unsalvageable, the auditors said there is a chance the BLA will get a failed approval , they did not say it is unsalvageable.
I do get what you are saying, it is effectively unsalvageable. I just hope data collected from it is useable for future indications. On the other hand, we now know far more about CCR5 and Leronlimab so a new trial would likely be far more robust.
