An Inconvenient Truth - $109.5 Trillion to Make All of America's Energy Green.

U..S. has spent around $1 trillion total dollars on solar/wind energy and it only contributes 5% of our total energy. Fossil fuels account for 79%.

$17 trillion to replace fossil fuels. 17 times more solar/wind energy required.

$7 trillion to rebuild our grid to carry and deliver 3 times more electricity.

$17 trillion to replace 280 million cars and trucks at $60,000 each.

$2.5 trillion to rewire 127 million homes & business to add car charging and replace gas heat and gas appliances at $20,000 each.

$66 trillion for power storage to get through 48 hours of windless and dark days. (see calculation below & can avoid by going nuclear)

$109.5 trillion total cost

For 48 hours the U.S. would require 72,000,000 megawatt hours of electricity. Largest battery available is Elon Musk's 100 megawatt hour super battery at $91 million each. 720,000 would be required.
