McEwen Mining (NYSE: MUX) (TSX: MUX), a gold and silver producer with operations in Nevada, Canada, Mexico and Argentina, is reporting the results of its recent Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The meeting was held on June 29, 2023, and during the gathering the shareholders voted on and approved three main proposals. Shareholders voted to increase the number of shares of preferred stock authorized to be issued from 2 to 10 million and to increase the total authorized shares accordingly. As a result, effective June 30, 2023, the company filed with the state of Colorado an “Articles of Amendment to the Second Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation.” In addition, shareholders voted to elect all proposed directors, including Allen Ambrose, Ian Ball, Richard Brissenden, Robin Dunbar, Dr. Merri Sanchez and William Shaver. Shareholders also ratified the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as McEwen’s independent registered public accounting firm for the year.
