For those who don't think that it matters what you choose to use in your practice...
For a few years, two things were happening. First, this patient would come in every 4-6 months for a PRP injection, and second, his arthritis has now gotten to this medial bone-on-bone scenario.
If you expand the photo you can see what he said: "Hi Doc...strongly considering doing that partial knee replacement maybe late Fall..we can talk more about it as I had a couple of more questions ...meanwhile this latest PRP you gave me yielded the best results I have had in years! Maybe the new machine? Have a great weekend"
What changed? In the time between his injections, I consulted with Don Buford, MD, and asked him what PRP he uses and he shared not only specific product details but a bevy of literature on the nature of what PRP you are using and how it makes a difference as to what you use especially related to platelet counts.
I then, on myself, tested the platelet yield of my previous PRP product to the one Don recommended and confirmed a significantly increased platelet yield.
Immediately, switched our entire clinic to the PRP he recommended. Testimonials like this are common now.
I bring this up to personally thank Don for his openness and collegiality which defines greatness in our field of orthopaedics. Also, the people of The Bronx thank you!

I wonder whether Dr Buford told him about RecoveryRx!?
