but......just going back and reading through the bios for Melissa Palmer and Salah Kivlinghn - wow, these are 2 incredibly impressive individuals! Especially given that Melissa is our new CMO - full time position and an integral part of moving everything forward. She brings everything we need to the table - deep clinical understanding of NASH, stints at multiple companies that got the goal line of being acquired - and time at the big companies that bought them - she knows what's important to both sides.
Unclear how involved in the day to day Kivlinghn will be (as he's an advisor), but he brings equally impressive and different deal-making expertise to the table. I hope we can get him very engaged as he seems to have connections and experience that can open doors to the capital markets, figure out the deal-making side of things, etc.
bottom line - to the extent that Cyrus is able to recover and get back in the saddle in somewhat short order, we will be locked and loaded with the A-team - and it may be that what i initially interpreted as a negative event (and to be clear, from a personal standpoint it is a negative thing - not trying to be callous) turns out to be a pivotal / catalyst period for us to move to the next level here.
