Stocks In News This Week: $SNRG, $PLTXF / $VEGA.CN, $PBIO, $CFTN, $GEVI

As the trading week comes to a close, it is perhaps time for investors to consider taking a look into some of the companies which have been in the next in recent times and hence, could be worth watching. Here is a selection of five companies that you could look into this morning.

SusGlobal Energy Corp (OTC:SNRG) – The agricultural, industrial, and environmental biotech and renewables firm announced its financial results for the first quarter that ended March 31, 2023, earlier on this week. The company generated revenues of $164,687 in the quarter, which reflected a year-on-year rise of 14% from the prior year period. The rise in revenues had been brought about by the business generated from the organic waste processing and composting facility of an existing client. The company suffered a net loss of $1035172, which worked out to a loss per basic and diluted share of $0.01.

PlantX Life Inc (OTC LTXF) (VEGA.CN) – The company is the leading e-commerce platform operator for plant-based products and offers in excess of 5000 products at this point.

Yesterday, the company had been in the news after it announced that it had added Tofutti Brands Inc to its fast-growing list of brands making use of its e-commerce fulfillment solutions. The two companies agreed on an integrated partnership. Following the execution of the agreement, Tofutti placed a band on its website titled ‘Shop PlantX’ so that patrons could be redirected to the e-commerce platform.

Pressure BioSciences Inc (OTC BIO) – High pressure-based equipment manufacturer and developer Pressure BioSciences Inc announced its financial results for the first fiscal quarter that ended March 31, 2023, this week.

The company brought in total revenues of $740600, which worked out to a year-on-year rise of 54% from the prior year period. The instrument sales soared by as much as 74% year on year to $427,500. The operating loss suffered by the company in the quarter was $3,637,700 and that was much higher than the operating loss of $1,086,300. The operating losses soared due to a non-cash expense of $1,480,900.

Clifton Mining Company (OTC:CFTN) – The company released its audited financial statements for 2022 on May 18 and it had also been filed with the OTC Markets. The company noted that American Silver LLC had also announced a dividend of $0.05 a share, resulting in the distribution of $76250 to Clifton Mining Company, the biggest shareholder. Desert Hawk Gold Corp noted in its report for the period between January and April this year that it had sold 1011 ounces of silver and 699 ounces of gold.

Global Enterprise Ventures (OTC:GEVI) – The company’s fully owned subsidiary unit Mighty Fire Breaker is now in focus quite frequently owing to its environmentally friendly fire retardant product. Yesterday, Mighty Fire Breaker announced that the retail store roll out of the product started in Sonoma Country. The product was launched in the towns of Ukiah, Santa Rosa, Sonoma and Petulama. Ukiah had suffered from the Tubbs Fire back in 2017 which had killed 22 people
